I have no words for the ending of book one, but seriously Jessica Wayne left me in such a complete emotional mess that I didn’t know what to expect with this next book….. The only thing that I can guarantee is that I knew that she’d been throwing a lot of plot twists that you’d have no idea what is going on. Jessica’s mind is that messed up and twisted that you never know what you’re going to get from her. I thought she was talented when I first started reading her work, but as she’s written more and progressed, you can see that she has grown so much as an author and honestly the ideas that she puts into her stories actually scare me at times…. But that’s the beauty of her writing, the fear, the not knowing, it helps her be able to capture the element of surprise and it draws her readers in and she always leaves them wanting more. If you thought the first book was twisted and dark, you’ve not seen anything yet, all I’m going to say is that when reading this book don’t go into it reading without having your guard up, because honestly Jessica is twisted and this book just proves how twisted her mind can get. I was hooked from the very beginning and loved seeing all the different elements that she’s put together, you got to read from a lot more characters perspectives, it was interesting seeing how everything all fell together. The one thing that bothered me was that Amos….. Seriously, the dude is EVIL!!!!! I actually want to punch the dude. There’s always that one character that authors try to get you to hate in their books and honestly this time the way Jessica has written and captured him, you can’t help but want to punch him, she did a good job at bringing him to life. There was nothing to fault and I’m looking forward to seeing how this next book plays out because I know for a fact a lot more is to come and that it’s bound to be exciting as the first book. Plus, Sienna is so adorable, I love how powerful she is, don’t get me wrong, it sucks that she ended up becoming powerful the way that she did, but the outcome overall is incredible. I’m looking forward to having her kick ass and hopefully she destroys Amos soon because I’m not sure how much more I can take of the dude….
Seriously, good luck when it comes to reading this book, there’s a few surprises in there that you may be shocked to discover.
Sienna’s been taken, but Daxon nor Zane have no clue who’s taken her, Corrine’s gone with a bunch of Werewolves in exchange for them finding out where Sienna is….. As you can imagine things are pretty hectic for them all right now. Daxon already feels guilty for the way things were left between both him and Sienna when they last spoke and that was literally just before she went missing. He wants to find her quickly and for now both him and Zane have to put all their differences aside if they want to save her. Whilst Corrine’s with the Werewolves, she’s learning how to fight but also secrets about the Realm and Daxon are told to her in the hopes that when she goes back to them, they’ll have an idea at how to try and take down their enemy….. The last thing any of them want is for the Realm to become fallen or destroyed, but in order for that to be prevented they need to get to the King to warn him of what’s happening and to alert him or who did the attack on the Academy. With time not being on their side, will everything work out, or is there someone who is determined to make sure that they never succeed in the task of saving the Realm?
