I have been loving reading Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom’s Country Cottage Mysteries Series, so when I heard that they would be doing another series, I got very excited. I just love both Addison and Bellamy’s writing, it compliments each other’s so well. When I picked up this book, I was very intrigued as I was expecting it to be similar to the other series, but honestly I was shocked…. This time it had such a different feeling and it wasn’t all that cosy just like the Country Cottage is, nope… it had a bit of a darker feel, but either way what they did worked incredible. I was hooked from the very first page and I’m so excited to see where it goes. I already am expecting some cruel things from both Bellamy and Addison, because that’s just how they work, but they make the books that gripping, that you can just let them get away with breaking your heart and playing with your emotions. I loved every minute of this book, I honestly couldn’t find anything that I didn’t like, it all just worked perfectly. However, I’m not liking either Addison or Bellamy for how they ended this book, as always they like to leave a little surprise for us.
I would recommend giving this book a try, it’s the first in a brand new series, so there’s lots bound to happen and it’s insanely gripping… Seriously, Addison and Bellamy are talented writers and you don’t want to miss out on another one of their masterpieces.
Bowie (formally known as Stella) ended up accidently upsetting a few people e.g. the mob, the feds and even her ex-boyfriend (but the last one, well it was his own fault really), so now because everything has turned upside down she’s now got to leave the life she’s only ever known behind and start up new as Bowie…. She’s meant to be heading to Canada as that’s where her Uncle sorted things out and it’s quite away from her home. However, life decided to take a detour and with her car broken down and no where to go, she ends up landing a job as a manager and securing somewhere to stay whilst she’s in the town of Starry Falls just until she’s able to get the money together to get her car fixed and be on the way to Canada…. That was until she ends up landing in the middle of her murder investigation and as she’s new in town, the deputy in charge is gunning for her to be the murderer…. Oh and did Bowie mention that she’s able to see into the future?
What will happen and will she be able to clear her name and be on her way to Canada or will life have other ideas?
