If you’ve read the first book, you’ll have gotten to know Riley, she’s is such an amazing character and will do anything she can to help others, and she’d been in love with her best friend Chase for many years. They thought that they had years together once Chase realised that the love of his life was right in front of him, but the fact that you never know how long you have with someone really does hit home, it’s a reason why this series stands out so much for me. I honestly admire Bella Emy’s writing and with each book she creates, her writing just grows. In life we are given one chance, and we should live it to it’s fullest, no one knows what’s going to happen around the corner, but it’s better if we try to make something out of our lives, spend time with loved ones as honestly they/we can be taken away within a blink of an eye. Bella managed to write such a heartbreaking story and it’s clear that Riley deserves to be happy, she’s done an amazing job in the four years it’s been since her and Mia (her daughter) lost Chase, she’s provided a stable home for Mia and she couldn’t be any prouder of the job she’s done on her own.
I loved everything about this book, the characters were relatable, they all meshed well together and I love how the story makes you think about your own life and reality. Bella’s done a great job with telling this story and I honestly can’t fault it.
Some may say that falling in love fast may be doomed, but from my personal experience and opinion, I say it’s better to fall fast than to never have the chance at all as you don’t know what tomorrow brings.
I’d recommend giving this series a try, but I’d recommend that if you’re emotional or tend to cry, you’re going to need tissues.
All was well with the world until it wasn’t. Riley went from being in such a happy place, with a beautiful daughter and loving husband, until her best friend was taken from her. Four years later and Riley is doing everything she can to be there for her daughter whilst providing for them. However, she’s able to go to Ireland for a mini vacation whilst also working… her cousin Julie was getting married and wanted Riley to be her wedding planner. Whilst this is meant to be the happiest thing for all of them, it also is hard on Riley because the last time she’d seen them was her own wedding to Chase.
With secrets being held back from her, and everyone thinking she should be happy and move on, will Riley find it in her heart to do what they all want???
