Any time that I pick up one of Lyssa Cole’s books, I just fall in love with the story and the characters, there’s just something about her writing that sweeps you up and you can’t help but end up being lost in the story and it feels like you’re experiencing it all yourself.
Even though I think that Lyssa’s writing is pretty incredible, she always manages to succeed and improve on it with each book and I’m honestly in awe of her because she is just super talented, I know for a fact that I couldn’t sit there and just let my mind wonder and put all my thoughts into words. I know that in a way writing up a review is kind of letting your mind free and you’re literally putting words down, but I don’t have the knack or the vision to write stories which is why I’m so proud and in awe of her.
This book feels a little different to her previous work, but even still it just worked and flowed in all the right places. Although, I do have to say that Brownie is my all time favourite in this book, but I won’t say any more as I don’t want to ruin it for you, but Brownie is oh so cute. You’ll just love her when you get to meet her.
Ryder and Emma are seriously just wow…. It’s clear that there’s chemistry there, but I understand completely why Emma isn’t exactly as into him to begin with, due to him being one arrogant jerk. But still, this book develops in such ways I never thought possible.
I just love Ryder though, he is just one of those guys that you can’t seem to get enough of or even out of your mind but you can’t help but keep wanting to go back for more.
Honestly, Lyssa did a great job with this book and I loved every second of it, I can’t fault anything because she did her research and just poured her passion into it.
I can’t wait to see what’s next from her, but then again I’m pretty sure it’s just going to be as epic as all her other books.
It’s been a long time coming for Emma, she’s needed to go on vacation forever and now she’s finally doing it alongside her two best friends, Nat and Ivy. What starts off going well on the trip quickly turns a little sour thanks to the fact that she accidently knocked into a passenger on the plane and spilled his drink on him, but thanks to him being such an arrogant jerk towards her, he ended up putting her in a sour mood. Now she’s just hoping that she can go the rest of the holiday without seeing him again, but for her it seems that life wants to intervene and they don’t stop butting heads at the resort. Yet when he asks Emma for dinner, she ends up turning him down, but out of no where changes her mind and they spend one amazing night together and then he vanishes the next day.
Emma tries her hardest to not dwell on it, but still she can’t help but keep thinking back to their one magical night together. However, when he ends up calling her out of the blue because he needs help, she has no idea her life is about to turn upside down, but she willingly agrees to help him.
Will Ryder be able to go after what he wants and hopefully turn things around so that they are happy as they were whilst away and show her that he is actually a good guy deep down or is it clear that they’re not a match made and that he hasn’t changed his ways and he’s still the arrogant jerk that she met on the plane???
