After reading Romancing His Rival by the talented Poppy St. James, I had a feeling that this book was just going to be as amazing and I was really surprised by how much it gripped me from the first page.
You may notice that this is set in a way in the same world as Romancing His Rival, but that’s only because this is set between Camryn and Sterling, and they’re the best friends of Olivia and Noah so if you read that book then you’ll be excited to see them popping up in this one.
I loved how things happened and thought the story was incredible, and whilst I did love both Sterling and Camryn, I will always have a soft spot for Noah and Olivia.
It’s clear that there has always been that little spark between Camryn and Sterling, but neither of them have ever actually ventured beyond the lines, but I love that no matter what when they’re together you can see the chemistry coming off them in waves. I thought that they were both well suited to one another and that maybe in all the time they’ve known each other had they just gone ahead and made the effort to see what the other is like, then they’d realise they were alike in so many ways.
I honestly can’t fault this story, everything flowed together so well and it worked out in ways which I never saw coming.
I think that Poppy did a great job with this book and I’m so excited to see what else she plans to write because the more I read of her work, the more I fall in love with it.
If you’ve not tried her work yet, then I’d suggest picking up one of her books as they are just so light-hearted and will draw you in.
With Noah and Olivia married and a baby on the way, both Sterling and Camryn can’t help but feel a little envy of them as they have everything all worked out, yet the two of them are going through their own things, but hate the fact that they don’t have anyone there with them that they can spend time with.
However, when it becomes national news that Sterling is set to inherit a lot of money as a relative has passed away and in his will wrote it all out to him, he honestly can’t believe how big the news is…. Whilst that would be life changing for him and he could do a lot with the money, like help his mom and move her into a better and closer facility, there’s a catch.
He has to get married by six months…
Sterling is a playboy and he’s never thought of seeing himself settling down, but knowing a lot is at stake he has no choice but to find a wife. The last person though he expects to help him with this whole PR nightmare and to find a wife is Camryn. He knows that there’s a strong chemistry between them, but still he can’t help wonder is finding a wife all worth it just for some money??
Will Sterling be able to find a wife in the timeline given or will he decide that it’s not worth it and that he should stick to his own ways considering he doesn’t believe in love???
Will Camryn be able to keep her feelings about him to the side and do her job or are obstacles going to appear and make things that much harder???
