Yet again Amber Lacie has such a way with words, they are so powerful that they pull at your emotions and you can’t help but feel for the characters in the story. She manages to have her characters relate to you in some way and honestly, that’s incredible. When I was reading through this book I couldn’t help but feel like I related to Carsten as she has been through so much in her life and during her early years in the book when we look back at the beginning I can put myself in her shoes as I have been through similar experiences. Throughout the book you can tell that Amber has such a passion for writing as it shines through her work and honestly I love it when that happens with an author. I know for a fact that I’ll be reading more of her work because honestly it’s just incredible, if you’ve not read her work then you need to change that as you are seriously missing out.
Carsten has been through a lot during her life and honestly no girl her age should have to deal with what she goes through. You get to look back and reflect on how her life was and honestly it’s shocking but no matter what Carsten is a strong person and I admire her so much.
