It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Lex Martin and I was so excited to give this book a read. Lex is a very talented writer and I just love the country vibe I get from her writing. She tends to bring out so many emotions when writing her books and she knows exactly which ones will gain the right reactions from the readers. This time round she has done another amazing job, I fell in love with the story, the characters and everything else. There was one thing that I would of liked to have happened, I know that Logan is holding many secrets, but when they get revealed to everyone, it would have been amazing to have understood how he felt when letting everyone know the situation he was put in, reading how everyone else took all of the news that was revealed to them. Other than that I have no other issues, I think Lex nailed the story perfectly. I’m just excited to see what else she has planned.
Joey has been in love with Logan for as long as she can remember, they grew up together, there’s just the slight fact that Logan is a couple of years older than her. They have always been close, been there for each other and his family pretty much took her in as their own. However, they’re both grown up and are both living their lives, yet after spending 6 months trying to move on from him as he’s never seen her as more than a friend, and because he hurt her, she’s now on her way back for her best friend (Tori’s) wedding and will have to face him. She has no idea how she is going to handle seeing him considering she’s pretty much ghosted him for the last 6 months, but she’s not prepared for the surprise that awaits her when she gets off her bus. Will she reveal her feelings to Logan or will she keep them bottled up and stick with her plan on only being there for the wedding?
