After reading the first book in this series, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I can honestly say that Sierra Hill did an amazing job at capturing my attention and having me hooked from the moment I picked up this book. For some reason this book seemed to gripped me a lot more, I’m not sure what it was, but I found myself loving every minute of this book. I think that Sierra is a very talented writer and I’m only just discovering more of her work, but from the books I have read, I can see that she’s passionate about writing. I think that she did a great job with this book, plus she wrote about real issues that people go through every day, if anything I think this book might actually help a few people who are overcoming them or struggling to deal with them. I just love the idea that maybe Sierra has touched some of her readers and they are able to ease some of the weight they carry.
I honestly couldn’t fault the story, the plot or the characters, I think everything was done pretty well and it was clearly well thought out.
I’m excited to see what else Sierra has in store for this series, as I’m sure it’ll be just as exciting as this book was.
I would recommend that you give this book or series a try, as Sierra’s writing could become your next favourite.
Peyton has had a difficult upbringing, with the fact of having to deal with an eating disorder, suffering verbal abuse from her stepfather and then having to witness the physical abuse on her mother…. It’s no wonder why she has issues trusting guys. So when she is offered an internship at a huge men’s design firm, she couldn’t be more happier as she is getting to experience first hand how the design industry works but also she is very cautious of who she’ll be working for as guys in the suits are the typical guys her mother would warn her about staying clear of.
On her first night in LA she ends up meeting this amazing guy, but of course he wears one of those suits, so of course when the night draws to an end she ends up giving him a fake number in the hopes of never seeing him again, but you can imagine the shock she gets when she ends up walking into his office come Monday…. Turns out the guy she thought she wouldn’t see again is going to be her boss… How will things go between them, will he give her the time of day to explain why she fake numbered him or will she make a huge fool of herself???
