Emma is starting to get fed up with the way that Daniel keeps treating her, because she can never tell when he wants to actually be with her or when he is going to shut her out completely. She knows that she needs to put all her focus into her business and the only way she knows how to stay on top of things is when she talks to Nick, she grows quite close to him and Daniel honestly can't stand it. He already can't stand Nick, because one he is just like him but also because he thinks that he is going to steal Emma away from him.
Damion ends up getting close again with Daniel but a small part of him feels guilty because he's been spending less time with Emma so one day when he turns up to work completely out of it because of him being hungover he says some things to Emma which actually hurts her but because he is hungover he doesn't realise he's said any of it. He only finds this out when he awakes later when Nick wakes him up and tells him everything that's happened, Damion honestly can't believe he said any of it and really wants to make things right with her but Nick advises him to let her calm down in her own time because he doesn't want to make anything worse for her.
Nick decides to take Emma out for the night and the last person they expected to see was Daniel, but Nick happens to notice him and Damion before Emma does and because he doesn't want an argument to happen but the exact opposite of that happens. Daniel ends up getting the wrong idea of Nick being out with Emma but he has no idea what comes over him as he ends up punching Nick in the nose, after that he ends up getting thrown out of the club.
When Emma goes to see Nick the next day, something comes over her and she kisses him. Will Emma move on with Nick or will Nick let her down gently and be there for her as a friend. Will Daniel finally realise that enough is enough and that if he wants to be with Emma then he has got to change his ways.
This book honestly surprised me with all of the twists and turns in it, it kept me hooked and wanting to know what happens till the very end. You honestly don't want to miss anything in this book, it just keeps getting better.
