I just have no words for how amazing this book was… Shauna Mc Donnell has yet again managed to write such an amazing heart-breaking realistic story that is so raw and you end up connecting with in so many ways. Even though to me I don’t think that there’s ever anything that she needs to improve on, she always manages to top the last book with each new one she writes… She is so talented, but what I love about this author is the fact that no matter what feedback there is in the reviews, she always takes everything on board and does her best to cooperate it into the next book, she learns from her reviews and that’s a great thing.
I felt such a connection with both Lily and Ciaran, it was so heart-breaking reading their journey because no one should had to have gone through the steps that they did, but at the same time what they both went through made them both stronger and ready for what they both wanted in the end. It helped them reach their end goal of becoming people that they were truly happy with.
I honestly can’t fault anything in this book at all because it was all so perfect, I understand why Ciaran kept waiting because he was truly in love with her, but at times in order to go after what you want, you have to let the other person go… trust me, I get that so much because I’ve had to do that in life before and it does suck, but when it’s necessary you can’t help the choices you need to make.
I have to say though, that this book is the best by far that Shauna has written and it really does show her passion through her words.
Seriously, this series is incredible and I highly suggest that you give it a read because the emotions you’re left feeling are indescribable.
Ciaran has been in love with Lily for as long as he can remember, but the thing is he doesn’t want to cross the line because of their strange friendship, he’s her rock when she needs it and after the traumatic childhood that Lily and her brother (Cillian) went through has left them both broken. But both Ciaran and Lily like to push each others buttons… With a dare war going on for so many years, you’d think that one of them would have been defeated, but no matter what they are both determined to outdo the other.
When one dare goes to a whole different level and Ciaran dares Lily to marry him, she has no idea what to do, but she is not one to back down from a dare… With him wanting to show her the world, protect her and be her hero when she needs him, she has a hard time giving him the same things back… With the whole back and forth between them and Ciaran declaring he’ll wait for her to be ready, will Lily ever find the courage or ever be ready to ever give into her feelings or will Ciaran decide enough is enough and that he can no longer wait for her to be his????
