Addison Moore is one talented author, she always manages to surprise me with each book and even though I do think that she can be cruel at times with some of the events that take place, I honestly can not get enough of it all. Addison knows exactly what to write to keep her readers coming back for more, she has done such a great job with this series and this book was no exception. I loved every minute of it, but I do wish that the all the fight and energy that both Essex and Noah have to try and compete against each other, would end up being put to good use and you’d be able to see the passion between all three of them, instead of the need to fight over Lottie all the time. The passion, the story that would build between them all could be so incredible, but I have a feeling that Addison is having way too much fun keeping us guessing and having us readers fight over which guy is better suited for Lottie.
Now that we got to read more of Bizzy and her group of friends and family and they’re exploring Lottie’s side, I found myself admiring Jasper a hell of a lot more than both Noah and Essex. Don’t get me wrong, I can understand why both of them are protective over Lottie investigating the killings that take place, the last thing either of them want is for her to get hurt or worse end up being killed herself…. But what they don’t realise is that she is actually good at what she does and at times her knowledge and the fact she can speak to the ghosts can actually be a bit of help when it comes to the investigations…. But for some reason they are both hell bent on trying to keep her away from them, yet when you read in this book that Jasper askes if they can try to keep out of the investigation, Bizzy can’t exactly promise to not because it’s personal for her, plus with her ability of reading minds, it comes in handy. But the way that he says to her that he wishes she’ll be careful actually pulled at my heartstrings, mainly due to the fact that whilst he wanted her safe and away, he knew that she could handle herself, you could see the trust between them….. I just wish that both Noah and Essex would be like that instead of always trying to dictate what she does.
Other than that, I think that Addison did an amazing job and I can’t wait to see how things progress, plus with Bizzy and Lottie’s friendship blossoming, I’m excited to see where things head with them.
I know that a lot of things are tested in this book, but it was well worth the read and Addison just becomes even more talented with each book. I have no idea where this series is heading next, but knowing Addison it’s bound to be full of surprises and I just hope that things finally work out for Lottie.
Lottie is getting ready for the arrival of Bizzy, her friends and family over in Honey Hollow, and she couldn’t be more excited about it. Things hit it off when Lottie went to Bizzy’s side a few months back when she attended a baking competition as a guest judge and things have progressed from there. Now with them back visiting her, she’s excited to see them…
She also ended up picking to give her marriage with Essex a try, and so far things seem to be heating up in all the right ways. It doesn’t mean that her feelings for Noah are gone, in fact they are still there. But for now she’s doing what she feels is right…
She’s helping out at the book signing by serving them some of her Flag Cake dessert that she baked for the occasion and that seems to be going down a right treat. Her mother is now an upcoming author and as this will be her mothers first signing event, Lottie is anxious about it as she wants her mother to do well…. However, everything is short lived when a blood curling howl/scream is heard and both Bizzy and Lottie head on over to the source of it, only to discover that Georgie is attempting to pull a knife out of one of the featured authors…. With it looking like Georgie is to blame, will both Lottie and Bizzy find out who the real killer is and be able to clear Georgie’s name?
Will her conflicting feelings for both Noah and Essex ever seem uncomplicated or are things set to take an interesting turn???
