It’s been a good while since I’ve read anything by Roxy Sloane, but that’s most likely due to the fact that she’s been off the radar in book world, but still the fact I’ve been able to dive right into one of her new books I’m super excited about. I loved all of her previous books that she released, so you can imagine that I couldn’t wait to dive into this one, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It’s clear that Roxy has talent and that she knows how to capture her audience’s attention with how captivating her words are. This time was no exception, I enjoyed every word and loved how the story progressed. I had no idea which way the story was going at times, but I was just so invested that I had to keep reading and I wasn’t let down, although Roxy did make me feel for Juliet as she was going through some tough choices and the fact that she didn’t know what she was going to do in order to provide for her mom. I honestly just couldn’t get enough of the story and loved how invested I was once I started.
I loved everything there was in this book, I loved how the pace was just right, and it was pretty easy to follow, but the characters and the dynamics were pretty amazing and you just can’t help but want more from them. I couldn’t fault anything in this, and loved every second.
If you’re a fan of Roxy’s previous books, then when I say you’ll want to get your hands on this beauty, you should totally go ahead and do so because this is not one book to miss out on.
Juliet knows her life is about to become so complicated, it was the minute that she agreed to go ahead and take on a job of going under cover to try and get a job at Caleb Sterling’s company to be one of his assistants, but the first thing is that she needs to pass through the interview. But her luck is about to run out when she ends up having her own iced coffee thrown over her due to some guy walking into her and knocking it, but what makes it worse for her is that whilst she was standing in line to order, he heard her every word while she was on the phone, so when he takes her by surprise and proves to her that how a guy kisses is determined how incredible they are in bed, she’s in for a shock and a rude awakening.
So you can imagine her surprise when she does get to her interview and the person she’s interviewing with turns out to be the guy from the coffee shop… It’s clear that she didn’t do well in the interview, but she’s in complete shock along with everyone else in the room when he announces that she’s got the job.
Knowing she needs to keep everything professional between them and can’t let him get under her skin, she does her best to try and find the evidence that she was hired to do in the first place. Will she be able to get the job done and solve all of her problems to help provide for her mom or is there more to the story than she originally first thought???
