I honestly had no idea how this book would go, I just knew that it was going to be pretty epic and after everything we’ve discovered so far in this story, I had a feeling there was going to be a lot more twists and turns to come.
I think that Roxy Sloane did a great job at continuing on Juliet and Caleb’s journey, it had so much you could ask for in a story, the drama, the chemistry, likeable characters and an intense but enjoyable storyline.
Yet whilst I did think that this was a good story and it was an interesting way to round up their story, I do feel like at some points with some of the things that Juliet knew it would make sense to have confided in Caleb as being honest she expected him to be upfront and honest with her, yet it seemed like she was okay to keep things to herself. Surely trust is a two way thing and so is respect, so wouldn’t it be best to actually give Caleb the same back??? As well I thought that if anything, instead of her continuing to grow as a character, I felt like she went backwards a little. It didn’t exactly put me off completely, but I did feel like it did change how I viewed Juliet. But still, I thought with the way she went ahead and jumped straight into the battle when it came between Nero and Caleb, as honestly the situation wasn’t exactly something that anyone would have walked out alive.
I thought that Caleb grew quite a bit as a person throughout the books and I thought that it made him such a better character.
There was points in this story that I literally had no idea how they would play out, but it was great getting to see how everyone and the series expanded. But overall I do think it was an interesting way to round things off.
I’m intrigued to see what will happen next in the series, even if it’s not going to be about Caleb and Juliet, but after the events of this one, I have a feeling that maybe we’ll still be seeing a lot more of them both.
Juliet honestly can’t believe that everything between her and Caleb is over for good this time, but she knows that she’s just got to get away from him as all that’s happening is he’s messing with her head. But in the event of her getting as far away from him, she ends up being run off the road, it’s clear that someone has it out for her and that they are willing to do what it takes to get Juliet out of the way.
Luckily, she makes it and she gets a surprise in for her when she wakes up, the last person she expected to see is Caleb, but she can’t help but feel like there’s still something there between them considering he’s come to see her.
Will they be able to figure out who is behind running Juliet off the road?? Will they be able to work things out between them or does Caleb not feel anything at all or never did to Juliet???
Will Caleb be sent down and his company taken over completely or will they find a way to get to the bottom of it??
