After getting to know all three brothers, you can’t help but love all of them but in very different ways. I love how Sara Ohlin has made such a universe where it’s so calming that you feel right at home. Each book has such a different feeling in terms of when you’re reading from one of the brothers as they all have different personalities, you’ve got Cruz who’s the more broody one, then you have Turner the one that’s more about being a little cheeky but is also clearly the smart one and then you have Adam who’s love and focus is just based on the horses and the farm and he’s the more gentle one.
Sara did an amazing job at creating all three and I just loved Adam’s story as it’s so unexpected and realistic. I’ve never exactly lost my sense of smell or taste, but the emotions and what Cassandra’s body goes through is a lot and must have been difficult for her.
I was so swept into the story that I really wanted things to work out for Adam because he’s been the one brother that has literally done everything he can for the farm but also his brothers as he was the one that stayed, he never ran away from his demons, instead he stayed right where they were and did his best to ignore it all.
I honestly can’t fault this story, I was swept in from the beginning and I just didn’t want it to end at all.
It just seems that no matter what book she writes, her writing just improves and grows, even though it doesn’t need to. But I literally enjoyed every second of it and yet again she made me feel like I was at home and experiencing everything that both Adam and Cassandra were going through.
I honestly have no idea if Sara plans to carry on with this series, but if not I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.
This series has honestly been such an incredible to experience and I’m so happy that I got to discover Sara’s work, I’d highly recommend that if you’ve not read any of the books that you do because you will get taken on such a magical journey.
Now with both of his brothers back home, the one now married and the other getting his life turned round and settled here, Adam feels a little pang of hurt because he wants the whole package, a marriage, a family, a home that he can be proud of, but as he’s never exactly dated much considering his love is mainly for the horses and the farm, the last thing he expected was to literally hit one of the guests who’s staying at one of their cottages with compost and ruin her boots.
However, when he tries to be nice in his usual way, not only does he offend her, but it’s clear that his way of talking to people doesn’t go down well with women or anyone from out of town. However, when he tries to help her up and does have her in his arms, he can’t help but be entranced by her beauty and it’s like something hits him and it feels like she’s his home. Yet she doesn’t exactly want to be around him considering he’s a dirty farmer…
With Cassandra having a few of her own secrets, she’s so overwhelmed when her sense of smell and taste come back. It seems that in the little town of Graciella it’s a magical place and it might be the one thing that can fix everything for her.
With Adam attempting to start over and seeing if he can fix things between them, will he get a chance at seeing the real Cassandra, will he be allowed to know her secrets???
