I’ve never read anything by Carrie Aarons before, so I was excited to be able to read this book and honestly I thought it was a great read. Carrie had such a unique way of telling the story, and honestly I’m not a huge fan of sports books, but this one was pretty exciting and had me hooked quite a bit. I loved the story overall and I think that Carrie did such an amazing job, plus she got such an important message across of the fact that life is too short and to live it to it’s fullest. A lot of people take what they have and life for granted, but Carrie took this book in such a different direction that I wasn’t expecting some of the things that happened to actually happen.
I can’t fault the story or the characters, if anything Carrie did them justice. I know for a fact that this won’t be the last book of Carrie’s that I read, if anything she’s gained a new fan in me and I’m excited to see what else has had planned or has already written.
Henley is hurting after having lost her best friend (Catherine) to cancer, the last thing anyone expected was to have to bury an eighteen-year-old days after their birthday. However, Catherine didn’t get to live her life out because the cancer decided that the third time it would visit, it wasn’t going anywhere. Henley vowed to keep a promise, a promise her best friend asked of her…. To finish her bucket list. And now, months later after having burying her, Henley is now currently starting at Warchester University, the one place she knows Lincoln will be attending….. Henley is after revenge after hurting her best friend…. But this is one tricky path she’s taking, will she be able to complete the bucket list and succeed in getting revenge on Lincoln or will she end up falling for him instead?
