I will honestly never grow tired of Emma Hart’s books, they are just seriously incredible and they always end up making me laugh. It’s been a while since I have read a book that I’ve not had to get read by a certain date, or that I’ve just got to read for leasure and just forget about everything and everyone around me for a few hours. I’m actually happy that I was able to read one of Emma’s books because truthfully her books are one of a kind and no one else writes like her… she has her own style and the stories she creates are just one in a million. This is kind of a sports romance, but truthfully I’ve never read a book where the female lead wasn’t exactly bothered by who the guy was, the fact he’s a celebrity and also didn’t have a clue who he really was. If anything, I found this book to be so refreshing and I just kept wanting more. Emma has such a talent and a way with words like no other, I can just never get enough of her work. I do honestly think she did a great job with this book, the characters were pretty awesome, plus I love how she had a character who makes quite an impression, this time it was Poppy’s grandfather, he was a hoot. I really can’t wait to see what else she has planned.
I would seriously recommend giving this book a read because it will brighten up your day and make you laugh like never before.
Poppy is a bright girl and is as sarcastic as the next girl, but in her mother’s eyes, she is nothing like her perfect big sister Rosie. When Poppy is forced to find a date to her sister’s wedding, she is freaking out because the last thing she wants to do is be a let down and have her mother never stop going on about how she faked bringing someone… her mother is a bit unbearable.
When the perfect opportunity arises for Poppy to turn up with a date, she has no idea what she’s letting herself in for because the guy she asked only happens to be one of the best hockey player’s out there…. Poppy doesn’t follow sports, so she doesn’t think anything could go wrong until her family meets Adam….
Does Adam realise what he’s let himself in for by agreeing to go along with being Poppy’s fake boyfriend??? Will Poppy make it through the weekend with her family???
