This story is about a group of Parisian women who live in Paris and throughout the whole story we learn all about their ups and downs and have an insight into their love life.
Claire and Juliette have been best friends since they first met twenty years ago and they have their own successful PR company but it hasn't come easy to them at all. They also have a Steph who works there and has been there for at least ten years, and things are starting to look good for the company as they are taking on a very important client but not everything is working out in favour for them.
Juliette and her partner Nadia of ten years seem to have been drifting apart recently and it finally all becomes too much for Nadia. Ever since Nadia got a promotion at the hospital they both seem to be spending less and less time together and when Nadia does end up walking out she blames it all on Juliette. The thing that Juliette has no clue about is that for a few months Nadia has been keeping a secret all of her own but is too ashamed to admit it.
Claire hasn't been in love with anyone for a long time, so when Nadia introduces Claire to Margot, she isn't exactly sure what to make of her considering she has never been drawn to anyone like Margot. One night after a chance meeting after work Claire changes her mind to what she first thought of Margot, so when Nadia texts her Margot's number she seems quite happy about it.
Soon everything seems to be looking up for both Claire and Steph but Juliette is struggling with Nadia but when it is revealed a few weeks later that Nadia slept with another doctor a while back it breaks her heart as when Nadia first moved out she was telling Juliette that it was her fault and she needed to fix it. However all the girls in the group know that not everything lasts good as it should be so when Claire's heart gets broken she is devastated.
Will each of these girls get the happy endings that they want or is more trouble about to come to light. Will Nadia be able to make it up to Juliette or is that something that Nadia is going to have to live with. This is a rollercoaster of events for all the girls and it grips you to your seats. The one that that I will say is that as much as this book was good there is one thing that I'm not really sure about and that is the fact then whilst I was reading it throughout the whole book it never seemed to be consistent, it seemed a bit mismatched in terms of direction. Other than that I felt that this is a good story and that you can learn a lot from it even though it may be just a novel to some people to others people can read between the lines and grasp an understanding of everything. Also just to let you all know is that there is another book after this which you won't want to miss as soon as have read this one.
