I’ve only read a few books of Emma Hart, but I really want to read more, so when I was able to read this beauty, I was honestly so happy and excited because Emma has such a unique way of writing stories and keeping her readers entertained. In most of her books that I’ve read, I’ve found there to always be one character (normally the grandmother) to be such an incredible character and honestly they always deserve their own book. This time was no exception, I honestly loved Imogen’s grandmother, her sense of humor was amazing and I thought it was incredible that she came out with half of the things she did. If anything she really lightened up the book. I loved how Emma wrote this book, the characters, the plot, the drama and everything that went on with it was amazing and she gave us exactly what we wanted. The only thing I will say is that I found the ending to be a bit rushed, don’t get me wrong, it was amazingly written, but I just found that I would of liked more from both Mason and Imogen, it’s like they had just decided on what they was going to do and what they wanted, and then all of a sudden you was at the epilogue…. I would have loved to have seen how they handled things once they had figured out where they was going. That was the only thing that bothered me, but even still it’s just a small thing. Other than that, I think everything else was perfect. I do honestly recommend reading any of Emma’s work if you’ve not before because it’s pretty amazing and it tends to pick you up if you’re having a bad day.
Imogen lives with her annoying pain in the ass Grandmother, don’t get her wrong, she loves her to pieces, but at the same time when she’s got to supervise her Grandmother’s book club meetings each week because neither her or her friends can actually behave or be left to their own devices after the last time they all went out together. Other than that, Imogen loves her life, she’s got the perfect job and owns her own job and lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone. However, when her Grandmother spots the new neighbour moving in next door, she has no idea what to expect, but the last person she expected to move in was her sworn enemy from college/ or better known as the guy she casually slept with on and off…… How will she cope now that her former lover is now living next door? Will she ever be able to move past the past or will that always be there haunting her?
