I’ve been following Sierra Hill for a bit but I’ve never had the privilege of reading her work before, however after reading this book I’m actually unsure of what to make of her work. I’m not a huge fan of sports romance books, but at the same time the story developing between Brooklyn, Garrett and Caleb was an interesting one, but I did enjoy it. At times I found myself struggling to keep reading, but I carried on because I was interesting on seeing how things would work out. Sierra is a talented writer and you can see that she has a passion for writing. Even though I was unsure of this book, I would be happy to read more of her work to see if I can see if her work is truly for me, I would hate to just turn round and say no just after reading one book, I want to give her a fair chance. I couldn’t see anything to fault within the story, just that I couldn’t keep my focus as often as I would of liked, but other than that I think Sierra did a great job. If you love reading sports romance books, then this is the book for you, hopefully you’ll fall in love with it.
Garrett had everything, but a few years ago his life changed for good, he found out that he had a son, he was on the verge of getting married to the girl of his dreams, but after his wife passed away and his son was only a few years old, his son had a major step back which impacted his ability to talk, walk and many other things. Garrett is now a single parent to little sweet Caleb, but with the fact that Garrett is trying to juggle everything he know he needs to find a replacement Nanny to help look after Caleb now that it’s Summer. And there’s one person perfect for the role….. Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is amazing with children, is over qualified but she knows what she’s doing, her heart breaks for Caleb when she first meets him because she can clearly see that he’s such a sweet special boy. However the challenge that Garrett has is whether or not Caleb will take to Brooklyn, with him having special needs it makes the process a lot more challenging for him. Will bringing Brooklyn in to help work out in his favour or is he set to have made a huge mistake?
