No matter how many times I pick up any of Emma Hart’s books, I will never stopped being amazing at how talented she is. Recently, I’ve been going through a bit of a tough time and whilst I’ve not exactly been in the mood to read, I knew I had to pick up this book of Emma’s, 1, being that I had been waiting for this book to release for a good few months and 2, because no matter what I knew that Emma’s book would give me that little escape for a few hours…. And I ended up loving the book. Seriously, she did such a great job that I forgot the few issues that I have going on and just made me fall in love with her story and characters. With each book that Emma writes, I can see her passion for writing shine through but also I can see that she is growing more and more as an author. She is always true to her work and readers and she is always coming up with amazing ideas that just relate to her readers. If anything, this book had more of a meaning and a message by saying that not everything is always as it seems, whether that be online or in person and that you should never judge anyone before you know their situation. With the way the world currently is, it just makes you think who you’re true friends and families are, you will be able to tell who you can count on and who has your back when you need it. And truthfully, I think that this is a very good lesson to learn whether you’re an adult or not. Overall, I think that Emma did a great job and she had me laughing throughout the entire book. This is one book to not be missed, so I would highly recommend that you go ahead and give it a read.
Elle is a famous vlogger, loads of teens and even adults admire her for what she does, she has everything going for her….. that was until her ex-boyfriend decided to get revenge on her by releasing a sex tape… and to make matters worse, she didn’t even consent to it being made. Now with her on the run to escape the public eye and to try and figure a way out of the mess that her ex has put her in, she ends up in going on a road trip and ending up in Creek Keys. With it being the start of summer, she knows that most places are going to be booked up, so she’s now hoping that she’ll have a little bit of luck and find somewhere to stay for a couple of days until she can figure out where to go. However, life seems to have other plans for her… luckily she is able to find somewhere, but the problem is….. her landlord doesn’t like her. So she is determined to do what she can to hurry up and get out of there, but her landlord’s (Theo) daughter is idolizes Elle…. With Elle thinking it’s best to just stay low, Theo is wanting to keep her away from his daughter as he doesn’t think that Elle isn’t who she appears to be and he doesn’t want her idol to upset her.
Will Theo have judged Elle a little too harshly??? Will Elle be able to recover from what’s happened and be able to carry on vlogging again?
