I have loved every book of Melanie Harlow’s that’s I’ve come across and read and whilst Man Candy will always be my favourite out of all of her work, I have to say that she did an amazing job with this one. In the entire time that I’ve been reading books (and that’s been since I was little), I have never come across a book where the author has managed to make me cry just from the words written down, so the fact that Melanie managed it with this book is honestly incredible. This is the first time that I have full on bawled my eyes out to a book and honestly I wasn’t expecting to feel all the emotions that I did. The story was magical and you can’t help but want the best for Mack, he has gone through a lot and all you wish is that he gets the happiness that he deserves. Everything flowed perfectly and the characters were likable. Melanie did a really good job with this one and I can’t wait to see what happens with the next book in the series. Seriously, you need to grab your copy and give this a read because it’s honestly magical. Plus, if you’re the type of person that cries at really emotional moments, then you’re going to need tissues for this book.
Mack is a single parent to three daughters and whilst they are his life, he just wishes that he could have a moment to himself because it’s tough looking after them all on a daily basis without a moment to think. He’s a sweet guy really, but after an incident occurs with one of his babysitters he has to try and figure things out so that he can still work but also be able to look after the girls. Luckily Frannie comes to the rescue and is able to help look after the girls, little does he realise the harbouring feelings that she has for him, but to her she doesn’t think a guy like Mack would ever give her the time of day. What will happen when their relationship begins to change and everything is out of their comfort zones?
