I was really hooked on this series by Shauna Mc Donnell after reading the first book and whilst there was a few things that needed looking at, I can see from this book alone she has gone ahead and taken all the feedback given to her in reviews and put it into this book. I can see that she is going to do well one day, and that’s just because she is improving with each book. I know that every book that gets released is the authors and they put all the hard work in, but at the same time without the feedback from the reviews the authors have no idea how to make their work more loveable, readable, enjoyable, or to make them perfect if that’s what they’re looking for. I just love how Shauna has taken everything on board because this book was just an incredible read and you could feel the raw real deepness of the connection that both Rosie and Cillian have. This was such a heart-warming read and I honestly think that Shauna nailed everything that she was achieving for with this book.
I will always love Ella and Cian as in some series you can’t help but end up loving the first couple as they were just written to make you fall in love with them. However, I did love Rosie and Cillian as they are both interesting characters, plus they both end up going through a hell of a lot and you can’t help but feel drawn to their problems that they are dealing with. Shauna did an incredible job with these characters and the story is just heart-breaking, but it’s well worth the read. I honestly couldn’t find anything to fault it. I’m excited to see what else Shauna has in store, plus I’m waiting to see what happens with Lily’s story as I know that’s going to be fireworks.
I would highly recommend that you give this series a try as it’s just that gripping.
Cillian has been in love with Rosie for as long as he can remember and honestly, that’s pretty much most of his life. Now he’s having to deal with the fact that he’s lost her forever as it’s her wedding day and whilst he has been waiting for this day for years, he never thought that it would be a different guy that would be waiting for her at the end of the alter…. But their story is over from what Cillian can tell…. However, what he doesn’t realise is that Rosie has essentially given up her life and happiness so that he doesn’t end up in jail….
Rosie will only ever love Cillian and for weeks and months now she’s been doing her best to try and get out of this marriage that she never wanted, wants no part of because truthfully this is a sham and nothing more of a business arrangement. All she wanted was to protect Cillian and now that her dad has gained control of her happiness and gotten Cillian out of her life, she is determined to try and get back to the man she loves. Will she be able to find a way out or is she stuck getting married to the one guy who she hates and has no desire to love at all????
