I fell in love with this series after just the first book, and I have to say that after giving this book a read, I am just completely hooked. I have no idea how Amanda Siegrist does it, but she knows just how to write the perfect sweet cozy holiday story and I loved every word.
I have a feel that no matter what happens I’m going to keep loving each book that in this series as there’s just a certain charm that pulls you in, plus it was incredible getting to see how the characters have developed and how their lives are now that it’s a year later but set from different points of view.
There was just one thing I would of love to have seen though, it would have been pretty interesting to see how Theresa handled everything in terms of Aiden’s past, I know that we see small glimpses, but still you can’t help but wonder how their talk went down and how she felt about everything. Other than that, I think everything was handled extremely well and I love how with each book I read of Amanda’s I can see that her writing is growing amazingly. I am excited for the rest of the series because so far I’ve loved the first two books and whilst it hasn’t exactly been easy on the characters, it’s still been worth the read.
I’d recommend giving this a read as if you’re the type of person that loves Christmas stories, then this will help put you in the mood.
Theresa has had a huge crush on Aiden forever, but she knew he didn’t feel the same as he was torn up over his dead fiancé. But still that never let her get down, all she wanted to do was try and spread some cheer about everyone. Yet whilst she did her best, the one person who she couldn’t help was her brother, even though she would do what she could to help him in a heartbeat, the one thing she couldn’t was giving him money as she didn’t want to see him turn into their dad fully.
Aiden didn’t feel worthy of being happy or even finding love again because what everyone didn’t realise is that he was keeping a huge secret. Everyone thought that he was so depressed and hurt over losing his fiancé, but honestly that couldn’t be further from the truth. When he gets a call about Theresa’s brother causing her problems again, he can’t help but wonder why she won’t just let him serve a jail sentence as he never learns. But still, he can’t help but draw closer to her, even though he doesn’t think he should ever try to be happy again.
Knowing the she makes the worst coffee ever, is there another reason for why he turns up to get a cup every day???
Will Theresa show him that he is worthy of love and being happy??
What happens when his secret comes to life???
