I have read a few of J.D. Hawkins’ work and being honest he has such a unique style of writing, with all of the other books that I’ve read of his, I have loved. However, this time I found there to be something missing from this book, I’m not sure of what it was, but I found myself not feeling the pull I had for all the other books I’ve read of his. Don’t get me wrong, the story worked, the plot was faultless and the characters were likable, I just found that it lacked in something to have the usual pull I get from his work. There was a few typos, but being honest there wasn’t that many to put me off the book. Other than that, I think that J.D did a pretty good job with this book and I’m sure if you’ve read his work before then you’ll love it, if not, then make sure you go and grab his work.
Hadley is one of the most smart, reliable and lovely girl out there, she will do anything she can to help those that mean a lot to her. With her being a life coach, it gives her the satisfaction of feeling good by helping those that aren’t too sure of what they’re doing or feel that there’s a block in their life. She can figure people out pretty quickly, well that is until she meets Ryder.
Ryder loves music, he grew up to become a rock star, but after a while the pressure, the contracts binding him down, the money and power all became too much for him, so he split from his band which consisted of him and his two brothers. Now three years later, something is eating at him whenever it comes to him picking up his guitar or even performing. He meets this incredible woman at his brother’s wedding, and ever since then he can’t get her out of his head… He never goes back for seconds, but there’s something about this one that has him willing to change all the rules he stands by.
