With every book I read of Hazel Kelly’s I just end up falling more and more in love with her work, she is already writing amazing books, with amazing characters and storylines, I didn’t think she needed to do anything else to improve her work as it’s already at the top level you could imagine… However, with this book I was in for a huge shock, she has managed to grow her writing even more and this is her best book yet, whilst I was reading through the story I was just reminded of Lila Monroe’s Romantic Comedy books…. Yes, I’m comparing Hazel’s work to Lila’s work, but it’s not due to the plot or the way the characters are, Hazel’s books literally have all the right characteristics that Lila’s books have that make me fall in love with all the words. Seriously, Hazel has upped her writing and it’s incredible, I just can’t wait to see what else she creates as I have never not loved any of her books. If you’ve not checked out her work yet, then I’d highly suggest you go and pick up her books as they are just incredible.
Maddie has always grown up being in the shadows as that’s how she has preferred things to be, plus with her being the youngest of three siblings, it just made things a lot easier for her when the elder two were always over shining and trying to out do each other either academically or in sports. Now that she’s a lot older and has more of a grip on life, being invisible or in the shadow’s isn’t exactly easy for her anymore, so when she has the chance to go after her dreams her life is torn as she knows with it being just an internship she’s got to work her ass off for no pay or it’s to just give up her dream and stick with her current job that does actually pay….. The decision isn’t an easy one to make so when her brother tells her to go after her dreams and that she can live at his place whilst he’s abroad for work, it all seems to be the perfect idea…. Well, it is until she remembers that he lives with Drake…. The guy who’s barely spoken more than 2 words to her every time they’ve seen each other…. Will she go after her dreams or will she give up before she’s even had chance to start?
