I always look forward to reading the next book that Carrie Aarons brings out because they are always quite sweet and captivating, however with this book it has the same elements that I normally feel when I read one of her books, but it had so much more. This book takes you on a journey that you’re not prepared for and honestly I love how Carrie decided to bring real life experiences in with this book and honestly it does make you think about a hell of a lot of things about your own life and others. In a way there’s a secret message in there to not judge others before you truly get to know them and I think that’s an incredible message to put inside because it does help people realise things. Yes, books are an escape from the real world that we all live in, but they are also very valuable and teach us things that we need to learn at times and Carrie nailed that perfectly this time. You can see that Carrie put a lot of work into this story and the outcome of it was truly eye opening. I really do think that Carrie has such a wonderful mind and I can’t help but look forward to her upcoming works, I know for a fact that I’ll keep on reading because she just has me mesmerized with her stories.
I think this was a good story, it flowed in all the right places and I honestly loved Mick and Jolie, they are seriously interesting characters and I love how opposites attract. For two people who don’t have much in common and run in entirely in different circles, they seem to fit together so well.
I would highly recommend giving this a read as it’s truly gripping once you start.
What started off as the perfect summer fling, something fun to pass the time ended up becoming one of those things that both neither Mick or Jolie can forget about. Jolie was only at the Summer camp as an instructor due to part of her punishment for something she did last semester and after making a deal with the Dean she ended up having to work for the summer for free and then spend the next school year at the community college to earn her place back at the University for her final year. So when Jolie starts back, you can imagine her surprise when she finds the very person who she spent the summer with at the same University that she’s meant to be at…. Will things pick up as they did when they were both at Camp or are they set to be more awkward especially when they both realise that they are hiding a lot from each other???
