With the way this series is going, I’m starting to think that Claire Marta needs to get some actual help as her mind is just crazy. Joking aside, I love how she always leaves you guessing and that every one of her books opens up more doors than you expected, but even though most books are about a different character, they always seem to tie in together. This book has so many doors that will open and you’ll be left with questions that you don’t get because Claire likes being evil to her characters. However, there is a section of the book where your hearts will just melt because Claire might have gone a little soft. I would say more, but it’s better to leave you all wanting to know more, plus if you know what Claire’s writing is like, then you’ll know she’s never normally nice unless she really has to be… which isn’t often for her.
Seriously though, I loved this book and I loved that we went back to Cassandra’s story, it’s clear that no matter what has happened the Devil, Mavi and Hades hadn’t given up looking for her, with Zeus taking off and keeping her hidden away it’s clear things haven’t been easy on them all, plus with it being almost a year now that Cassandra got taken time has changed and it’s obvious that she’s going to be carrying a lot of guilt and pain.
I can’t help but feel for Cassandra because she does deserve a good life and be able to find love, but of course nothing is ever simple in Claire’s books, especially when it comes to this series.
I loved every minute of it and honestly can’t wait to see what happens next considering it seems like we’ve only just started this journey. I was gripped from the start and I never doubted that Claire would do an amazing job, you can’t help but get lost in her stories.
I’d recommend giving this a read considering Claire is extremely talented, if you’ve read Cassandra’s first book you’ll want to see if things work out or if she’s destined to never see her family again, and mainly because once you start reading you won’t want to put the book down.
It’s been nine long months since Cassandra was taken away from Hades, and whilst she’s been in Zeus’ care she’s suffered so much. When he saw her and noticed her condition he did everything he could to beat her, hurt her, break her… however he wasn’t successful. Everyday it seems like she’s no closer to ever getting out of there, with Zeus using her to find out all of the prophecies, it seems like there will no winning to ever defeating him.
Hades and the Devil are doing everything they can to find her, they’ve even gone as far as to hold a truce until they get to her.
However, Cassandra doesn’t realise how powerful she actually is, but it’s up to her as to whether she will stop holding it back or if she’ll continue to let herself be used by Zeus and his evil ways.
Will Cassandra ever be free of him, and go home to Hades or even her family??? Will they find a way to destroy Zeus???
