I already fell in love with Ally back in the first book and I seriously can’t get enough of her, she is such a unique quirky character. Mary Kelly Reed did a really good job when it came to creating her character, in a way I can’t help but think that she reminds me a little of Erin, but of course they are both separate. After reading this book it did make me think of another book series by a different author, but even with that being the case Mary has made this her own story and I love that about her. I get that there’s going to be other books or stories similar but it’s when the author makes it their own is when they’ve done a good job and to me, Mary has stepped outside the box and put her own magical twist on this series. I’m excited to see what else happens with this series because it’s pretty incredible and I love finding out all the adventures that Ally and her friends find themselves in. I was hooked into this story from the minute I opened the first page and I couldn’t stop myself reading even if I wanted to because whenever I pick up one of Mary’s book I just get dragged into the story, it’s a talent of hers and you can see her passion for writing in her books.
Ally is back to doing what she does best, hanging around with her friends, boyfriend and is looking for new material for her blog and luckily she finds the perfect topic for discussion. However, whilst she’s enjoying having fun with her friends, Sam drops a huge question on her that makes her question her choices in life. Aside from that, both her and Emma end up discovering a dead body in the woods at the festival they all attend as it’s a yearly thing. But with people warning her to stay away and to stop prodding, she can’t help but wonder why everyone is so secretive and wants to keep this investigation in the past, but she’s determined to solve it. Will she be able to figure out the truth and make a choice for what she wants with Sam?
