I’ve only read one Hockey book by Kendall Ryan, but it was enough to know that I wanted to read more by her… and this short read has gotten me hooked and ready to see what happens with Eden as it seems she’s gone through a lot and that there’s reason for why she has done some of the things she has. With her spending the one night with Holt, you can’t help but wonder what was it that made her turn away and never look back. You can see the hurt in Holt’s emotions and expressions and you just want things to work for him.
I love how Kendall has written these two characters, there’s a lot to tell and the chemistry is pretty great. They are both well suited to each other and you can’t help but wonder what went on.
I’m excited to see how the rest of this series goes, but I’m rooting for Holt and Eden because they are just so right for each other, but that’s just my personal opinion.
Eden is a good girl, takes her education seriously, but she’s got this small dark side of her that wants to do something bad. So when she sets her eyes on Alex, the star hockey player at the University, she knows she’s got some competition…. However, that night doesn’t go exactly as planned…
After spending the night with Holt, she vanishes without a trace other than it being a mistake.
Now 6 years later and she’s owner of her Grandfather’s Hockey Team as he’s recently passed… But things are more complicated, as Alex is now on the team, Holt is now head of her security, and she’s needing to get everyone on side to show she can run the team… Will everything work, or is there set to be obstacles in the way???
