I seriously love Addison Moore’s writing, she never manages to disappoint. Yet again she has produced another master piece and I loved every second of this book… Back in the beginning I was struggling to get into reading it, but that wasn’t due to the writing or the book itself, it was just down to the fact I’ve been in a reading funk, but by the time I was a quarter into the book my funk just vanished… It’s like Addison’s writing has some sort of superpowers. I honestly couldn’t fault the story and I loved how Addison had us guessing the whole way through, seriously Addison has some amazing talent.
Lottie is just incredible as always and I love how she’s growing as a character, I still wish that Addison would write it so that Lottie, Noah and Essex were together as a trio, but she likes keeping us on her toes. For once I didn’t actually want to slap Cormack, but then again that was due to her not being involved much, and I’m hoping one day she’ll just vanish and move on for good.
There’s a lot of surprises in this book and you’ll never see some of them coming, but that’s what I love about Addison and her work, she takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and you have no idea where you’ll end up finishing. I was really emotional with this book, but I have a feeling that was what she was aiming for.
Seriously, if you’re a crier, I’d recommend having lots of tissues handy because Addison has fun playing around with our hearts.
It’s the Salute To Heroes Awards Ceremony for public servants and both Noah and Essex are both being honoured, Lottie couldn’t be any more proud of them. However, just as you’d expect, things are about to turn deadly…. And who should find the body? Lottie and her birth mother Carlotta…. With Lottie not prepared to leave a murder unsolved, will she be able to figure out the truth to what really happened?? Plus, with Carlotta starting off rumours that Lottie is now pregnant, she’s got Noah and Essex fighting over her to make sure that she’s taking it easy, but she’s not got the heart to tell them both that it’s a hoax and both Keelie and Carlotta are only joking about it. But with the impending secret of what Essex is hiding away from Lottie, will all be revealed and how will everyone’s life be after the big reveal????
