This is my second book that I’ve read of Kendall Ryan’s and honestly this was a lot different that the first book I read. This time I got to read a full length novel and this had so much characters. Normally I’m not a huge fan of sports romance books, but this one was so different that I couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters and the story. Kendall has done such an incredible job with creating this story and the way she wrote it has made me just want to keep reading on with the series. I know for a fact that I will continue to keep reading her work as you can see that she’s talented with how she writes, the fact that sports romances aren’t exactly my thing and she’s made me love this story means that she knows how to grip her audience. There was nothing that I could fault with the story and I would highly recommend you to either give Kendall’s work a read if you’ve not before or just go ahead and read this book as it’s honestly worth it.
Justin is a pro icehockey player, all he has ever done is live and breathe it. He’s essentially living the dream and he’s got his best friend (Owen) playing right along side of him, he’s got a long line of girls all wanting to get up and personal in his bed, but he’s not into that anymore, there’s something missing and he can’t help but wonder what it is. He doesn’t believe in love or happy ever afters, but at the same time he can’t help but wonder the what if’s when it comes to Elise (Owen’s sister). He knows she’s off limits and that he can never give her what she wants, but he still can’t help wonder.
Elise has grown up around icehockey for as long as she can remember, so the fact that her brother and his best friend live the stuff makes her life that much more thrilling. Yet, whilst she hates the way that the players are all constantly hooking up with random girls, she can’t help but sit on a huge crush she’s got on Justin. She knows nothing will ever become of it, but when the moment arises for her, everything that she has ever known and loved changes. Will it be the best or worst choice in her life?
