I’ve read a couple of books by K.C. Kassidy now and honestly, I’ve enjoyed them, so when I found out that she was getting ready to release another one, I couldn’t contain my excitement as it’s clear that she writes from the heart, but also about important issues that people deal with every day, especially when it comes to the lgbt community. I wasn’t sure what would entail with this book as honestly for me the title of the book didn’t exactly give much away and I know had I read the blurb then I would have had more of an idea of what the book was about, but truthfully, I like finding it a surprise as then I can be shocked and surprised by what the author has created. I found this one to be a good read, but I have to say that this wasn’t as incredible as the others I’ve read, I found it to be a little hard for me to actually keep focused on this and had to keep taking breaks, I know that this book has so much protentional though. I kept reading to the end as I was interested to see how things would progress and whilst this one may not be to my style; it was still a good read.
I found Finn to be an interesting character, and not just due to the fact that he grew up with money, but due to the fact that a lot of people misjudged him. Okay, he knew how to work most people over with his bright and witty charm, but still he went ahead and tried to live comfortably by making his own way and that meant not by having his father’s money at his disposal.
As for Mason I did feel for him because he was just trying to carry the weight of everything in terms of what was happening with his family. It’s clear he isn’t happy with the outcome of things, but still he just doesn’t want to hurt his family, so instead he keeps his hopes and dreams to himself. I do think that both Finn and Mason are good for each other and it’s clear that they help each other in ways nether expected the other too.
Overall, it was an interesting read and I think that K.C. Kassidy did a great job at writing another lgbt story, I’m intrigued to see what else she has planned as I do enjoy reading her work.
Finn is a charming guy, he’s able to travel the world and live a very comfortable lifestyle, yet he’s a disappointment to his father, so he’s now trying his best to prove to his dad that he can do an amazing job so that he can actually work for the company his dad has built.
With wanting his dad’s approval he is now in Stoney Brook, Maine to go and get the story so he can prove that he has changed just a bit.
But what Finn forgets is that there is two sides to every story, so he’s in for a shock when he meets local lobsterman Mason, and gets the most unwelcoming response he has no idea what he could have done to offend him.
Knowing that there’s more to what he first thought about lobstering he decides to go and ask Mason to help teach him all about the trade of lobstering…
Will Finn be able to see both sides properly and the importance and hard work that goes into it???
What will happen when it’s clear that both Mason and Finn have chemistry together??? Will they take a chance or will Mason be too afraid to go after what he wants????
