I honestly have no idea how Jessica Wayne does it, but she sure knows how to pull you in and keep you hooked. Every since book in this series she’s written has been amazing and I’ve loved getting to know all of the characters, but it just seems that each book gets better and better. Don’t get me wrong, my favourites will always be Rainey, Elijah and Fearghas, there’s just something about all three of them that you can’t help but love… yet, I love how things have been progressing with Cole and Delaney. There’s a lot going on, but as long as you’ve read each book in order, then it’ll make more sense than just jumping into a random one in the series and not really having a clue as to what’s happening.
I feel so much for both Delaney and Cole throughout this book because they both go through so much and you’ve got no idea if they’ll ever have their happy ever after. With the fact that now it looks set that Delaney is going to go off at the deep end and cause a war in Billings that’s way bigger than it already is, Cole is going through so much worse and you can’t help but wish you could be there to help them and figure out a plan. You can see that they’ve both grown as the series has expanded and I love how Jessica has written everything. Don’t get me wrong, I wish that Lucy would have been killed a hell of a lot sooner, but the fact she wasn’t just adds to the story and the adventure of it.
I honestly can’t fault this book, it was clearly thought out, I was left guessing at every turn and I couldn’t have predicted the outcome of half of the things that happened.
Jessica is extremely talented and I love how she’s brought us this series, as it’s seriously one hell of a page turner.
I highly recommend picking up this as it’ll just blow your mind away and you won’t be able to keep yourself from wanting to know what happens in the world of the Astor sisters.
With only just being reunited with Cole again, she can’t believe the outcome of the events that literally just took place. Delaney honestly thought that they were strong enough against Lucy, but clearly they’d all underestimated her. Now Delaney is close to losing it because thanks to Lucy she literally just killed her mate, all because she managed to manipulate everything to work in her favour.
Delaney can’t cope without Cole not being in her life, so she does the most outrageous thing and breaks out Bestiny from the prison she’s being held in. The last thing anyone expected was for the two of them to actually work together, but with the sole purpose of Bestiny allowed to kill Delaney after they’ve achieved their mission, Delaney couldn’t care less.
With everything in Billings being so out of control, will they be able to find Delaney in time before she does something completely crazy to get her killed or will it be too late?
Will Cole be able to break free from where he’s being held or will Fearghas be too late in getting his soul back to his body????
Will Lucy finally be taken down, or is she set to takeover Billings for good and then the humans????
