I just have no words for this series anymore…. That’s how amazing this series has been to read and with each book there’s more secrets revealed, more of the story was brought to life and it’s just been one exciting journey since the start. Out of all the books in this series that Claire Marta and Nia Farrell have written this has to be their darkest book yet, but it’s also shows the height of their talent… Out of all the books in the series, this is their best yet, their writing shines so much in this book and you can’t help but fall in love with the story. Since we was introduced to the Citadel back in Morgan’s book, we have seen little glimpses of Gael, he’s the cook their and in my opinion I’ve always wondered about what happened with him to be so closed off. And this book gives you the answers that you’ve been looking for, however it’s a dark journey and your emotions will be pulled at massively, so if you are an emotional reader then be warned do not go in thinking that this book will be as light-hearted as the rest.
I have no idea what else both Nia and Claire have in store for us, but considering there’s only one book left I have a feeling that they both have a lot of surprises planned for it.
I honestly couldn’t fault this story, I literally loved every minute of it even though I couldn’t help but feel for Gael.
I would highly recommend that you give this a read as it’s a well worthy read, plus you’ll end up being hooked from the minute you get started.
Elijah has been trying to get through to Gael for ages, ever since they were paired together, but other than one moment back when the Citadel had a fire and Elijah kissed him to shock him out of whatever had made him stay still in shock and left him unable to move… Ever since the fire, Gael has kept his guards up and refuses to allow Elijah in… but Gael isn’t getting away with it any longer, it’s clear he’s hiding something from the rest of the men at the Citadel, but so far only Riley has a clue as to what it is. But what Gael doesn’t realise that things are changing and they may not be as safe for him as he thought as the first thing change is that Gael is accompanying Elijah to take Prince (the dog) to an obedience class as he needs to learn to behave, but due to his secret he knows that time is running out… Yet, this is where they both meet Sam (Samantha) as she’s the one teaching the class. With Sam having her own secrets and abilities will they be accepting of her or is that set to be disastrous??? What will happen when someone else takes a liking to Elijah and it’s not Sam, how will Gael respond to it?
