All of the books that I have read so far of J.S.Cooper’s I have fallen in love with, she has such a unique style that just makes you fall in love with her work. If I could honestly put it into words how she does it then I really would, but I just can’t as she is such a great author. I’m always captivated by her work and always look forward to when she is releasing new work. However I’m shocked at myself for having to say this, but seriously this book is her best work by far, I know that there is going to be a lot of readers out there that are either going to agree with me or not because they already have their own favourites of her work, but honestly this was such an amazing book to read.
I love how Sally is portrayed in this book, because being honest I know what it’s like to have a crush on a guy for so long, that soon it ends up becoming that you’re pinning for them. I’ve seriously been there and have wondered what it would be like to have that one guy you seriously love to just one day turn round and say that they love you. Being honest I think that’s pretty much every girls dream and even though when we read a book and it seems that simple, it’s honestly not and that’s because it takes time to create that perfect story that reaches out to you. But honestly reading what happens in books is pretty much the same as to what happens in everyday life except some things can seem better in books than reality. However I admire how strong Sally was throughout the book because it seriously isn’t easy loving someone and hoping one day that they will love you back, I also admire the relationship that Sally has with Mila because it’s clear that they have grown apart since Mila got engaged but now that she’s planning her own life Sally feels that in a way she has no one. So when Mila suggests this crazy idea by just trying to friend Cody into the friend zone just to get him to realise how amazing she is and that he will want her because she’s off limits. Being honest I would love to have had a friend like that who would willing come up with random ideas just to help me get the guy, but sadly that didn’t happen.
The amount of emotions that Sally goes through and faces in this book, would seriously blow your mind, because it’s so many but I love that about a book when you get to see every emotion played out, it makes me feel what they feel when reading. I really do wish that I could tell you if everything gets sorted and Cody tells her that he loves her but seriously where would the fun be in that, but what I will say is that even though she is going through an emotional roller coaster ride, there might be one person who sees her for who she is. However if you’re going to want to know pick up this book and read it, as it will pull at your heartstrings.
