After the ending in Sorceress I had no idea which direction Jessica Wayne would be taking this series because for sure I thought that both Ana and Dakota were safe from the world and didn’t have to worry about anything. However, things tend to happen when you least expect it and Jessica has a way of throwing you off guard. I couldn’t fault this book and loved how everything developed, I was shocked at all the twists and turns that she threw in the book, but honestly it all worked out amazingly. Plus, the ending was just a huge smack in your face…. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting her to end it the way that she did, but I know that the next book is going to be a lot interesting just from the ending in this one alone.
Jessica had me drawn into the story like she always does, and I always hate getting to the end, but she’s managed to keep all the books in line with each other so that they all sync together. Jessica has real talent when it comes to her writing and it shines through her work, I’m really interested in seeing what will happen in the next book because honestly, I don’t doubt that she’ll be throwing in some epic twists and turns.
Everything has settled in the other worlds and for Ana and Dakota, but no matter what Ana can’t help but feel like something isn’t right with everything. Dakota on the other hand is just wanting to be able to spend time with his loving wife and hopefully make a start on expanding their family, but Ana isn’t exactly thrilled at the idea whilst there’s potential danger lurking about. A simple trip to Seattle to just check things over ends up changing the course of everyone’s future. Will they ever be able to find the peace that they deserve and get on with their lives?
