Each book just ends up drawing me in and I can’t help but just want more each time. I think that Amy Boyles has done an incredible job with this series as she seems to have grasped what readers want in books, and I have to say she didn’t let me down with this one. In fact I’m just hoping that she plans to do more with this series as I feel as if it’s only just gotten started, plus I’m loving Thorne and Charming’s relationship. This book there’s loads of things that are going on, plus now that Charming has embraced all four elements she is quite powerful, the only issue is that she’s not fully trained in the elements so she’s essentially winging it. The relationship between Charming and her mom is interesting but I do like the fact that her mom isn’t putting down her magic anymore.
There wasn’t anything I could fault when it came to this book, the only thing I do want is more, but hopefully Amy is planning more books or she’s writing them.
I would highly recommend giving this series a read as it’s quite captivating and I know that I was hooked from the very first page of the first book.
Charming is enjoying life, she’s still in Witch’s Forge to complete her job of matching everyone in the town, but for now she’s taking a break as the Mayor of Witch’s Forge has got a new way to attract visitors there….. A pyramid exhibit…. Everything seems normalish as it can be… for now.
When Charming and Thorne are asked to take a look at the mummy and it’s relic that’s part of the exhibition Charming can’t help but think something is a miss, so when it becomes apart that her late dad had been researching things that were to do with the exhibit, Charming and her family are opening up a door to the past that they’re not sure if their ready for…. Will Charming find out what happened with her dad all those years ago? What happens when Thorne’s dad is called to Witch’s Forge?? And how will things progress with Thorne and Charming, are they set to be together or will this push them over the edge???
