This is my third book of J.D. Hawkins’ work and honestly I have to say that I am impressed yet again, it takes a lot for me to like some arrogant male leads but for some reason Hawkins just has a way when it comes to writing them. I don’t know what it is, but he just seems to have the talent for it, I found myself falling for the other two male leads in the previous books I’d read of his, but he does know how to write a good story. There was nothing with the plot or characters that I could fault, Hawkins seems to know what his readers want and like and manages to achieve that by creating up the most amazing plots. Each book has been easy to follow and by the end I just wanted more. I can’t wait to see what else he can come up with but if you’ve not read his work I’d strongly suggest picking it up and giving it a try.
Wyatt has it all, an amazing career, his pick of any girl he wants, and he doesn’t exactly have to worry about money. What more could a guy ask for? However, there seems to be something missing but he can’t put his fingers on it. So he’s back home after being in New York for so many years but he’s also working on a job. Little does he realise how close he’ll be working with the one person who he always had a soft spot for.
For as long as Melina can remember she has been crushing on Wyatt, but whilst she kept them to herself, she has kept them buried. Now with Wyatt being back they suddenly resurface out of nowhere. She’s missed him like crazy, but she’s always thought that he’ll never reciprocate them back. With a lot on her plate she tries her best to do what she can to keep going as normal, well she does until she steps foot in her work and sees the last person she thought she would.
