I can not get enough of this series, with each book it just gets even more amazing. Emma Hart seriously knows how to grab my attention and keep reading. I honestly have no idea which direction I’m being pulled in when I read this series, when I first started the book I had my suspicions about who was the main culprit, but honestly as the more I read into the story, my doubts about who it was shifted and I love that about Emma, she manages to change your whole entire outcome of what you think just so that she can throw you off the actual scent of what’s really happening. The fact I was doubting myself because I was so sure in the beginning shows that Emma knows what she’s doing and isn’t afraid to test her readers. I love how strong Noelle is and the way she handles Drake is incredible…. I wish I had the balls that she does to take control and not be afraid to go after what she wants. I couldn’t find anything to fault, although the one thing that didn’t really work out in my favour is that I didn’t really understand the religious side to everything that went on in this book, there’s nothing wrong with it at all, I just didn’t really understand it but I know that it had a huge factor to the story, if I knew and understand it then honestly it wouldn’t have been an issue… I can’t wait to see what happens next as I’m sure it’ll just be amazing as the others.
Noelle and Drake are quite comfortable with their relationship, they’ve not gone public about it and aren’t afraid of anything, however with Drake’s ex-fiance in town and working with the mayor she’s determinded to rip Noelle and Drake apart, but luckily for them, they aren’t letting her get away with anything. Don’t get me wrong, if Noelle could, she would happily go out of her way and shoot her but as that’s not exactly legal or fair, she has to take the mature way out of this.
Things seemed to have settled down but not quite, with a sixteen-year-old girl missing and another one going missing within a week of each other, the town is worried because this isn’t something that happens normally. When the mayor brings Noelle to help with the Homicide department she feels like she has no way of backing out of this and hates the fact that she’s being left in the dark about things. Will they be able to find the missing girls or is more about to happen that is way out of their depth?
