Without a doubt I know that the minute I pick up one of Emma Hart’s books that I’m just going to enjoy the story, even if I’m having a bad day, I can always count on her books to cheer me up as they are always just that funny and out of this world.
This book was just as incredible as her other books and once I start reading them I don’t ever want to put them down, but then again that’s most likely due to the fact that she is extremely talented and knows how to hold her readers attention, plus we can’t forget about the crazy relatives… Being honest if Emma didn’t include at least one crazy relative I think that would take away from the story, but still she continues to add them in and make them even more crazy with each book and they happen to shape the story for the main characters.
I loved all of the characters in this book, but being honest I did feel a lot for Lauren because she was having to deal with her own issues with her family on a constant basis and whilst her sister was going through a lot it was unfair on Lauren to have to jump constantly at her mom and sisters beck and call. I thought that Mason was a breath of fresh air for Lauren and that they both worked in ways neither of them realised. But still they were both cute together and it helped that they had incredible chemistry.
I think that with every book Emma writes her writing just grows even if she doesn’t need to, but that’s only for the fact that she’s pretty talented already and it just comes naturally to her.
I loved everything in this book and the characters were just loveable, but there was always going to be the odd one where you just want to punch and as always Emma included that.
I honestly can’t fault the story and just want more, but then again Emma always makes me want more from her books, but that’s due to how gripping they are.
If you’re needing a good laugh or just to see what the crazy relatives are up to, then I’d recommend giving this a try.
Lauren was happy with her life with the way it was, yet her friends and sister have decided that she needs to start dating, but Lauren honestly is happy with how things are, plus she can barely keep her cat Henry happy, so trying to find a man who is willing to not only take her on, but also her cat who happens to sit on everyone’s heads, it’s going to be one interesting battle.
However, no one is listening to her, so her friends decide to put up a post about offering Lauren’s services as a fake girlfriend… Yet when Lauren gets a message the next morning with someone needing a fake girlfriend for a reunion, she honestly can’t believe it at all. Yet when she meets Mason, she is honestly shocked because she never expected anyone so incredibly good looking, and what makes things even better is that they are both on the same page in terms of not wanting to be with anyone…
With the reunion going so well, they both can’t help but enjoy the night, yet they never expect to see each other again until Mason’s sister gets involved… Will things go according to plan or will Lauren find herself in the most strangest position????
