I just loved reading about Garratt and Presley in Abrianna Denae’s The Gift Of Believing as they were such sweeties and I can’t help but love them, so when I heard that Abrianna was writing a book from Garratt’s dad’s point of view I was excited. You could see in Garratt’s book that his dad worried about him a lot and that it must have been difficult having to worry about if his son was going to make it through each day, but his dad was a fighter.
In this book you get to experience all of the feelings and process how Robert handles everything that he goes through with Garratt and it’s such a breathtaking story. You can tell that Abrianna poured her heart into this story because it shines through the words, it’s clear that both Robert and Niall are close to her heart and it’s great that she was able to give them both a story.
It’s never easy having your child be ill and you not being able to help them, and you feel that with Robert as for all of Garratt’s life there’s been times when Robert hasn’t been able to help him and has had to sit there and it breaks his heart. But even still with having to look after him, Robert has always put his happiness and life on hold because in his eyes no one else could ever come first as Garratt needs him. You learn a lot in this book and it’s such a moving story.
There is nothing that I can fault with it, everything just flowed as it should have.
I’d highly recommend reading this because Abrianna is so talented and she always writes from the heart.
Robert has always been there for his son Garratt, he may have become a little overprotective of him, but honestly who can blame him. With his job allowing him to work from home whenever he needs to, he has everything working for him, but when he finds out that he’s got a new boss he’s worried that everything that he’s got going for him will change and that his new boss won’t be as understanding as his old boss about his home situation.
Yet, when he meets Niall (his new boss) there’s something that catches his eye, although he can’t work it out.
When his friends Sam and Jared interfere and try to meddle as they can see something is clearly going on, he tries to defuse everything because the only thing that matters to him is his son and nothing will get in the way of that.
With Niall under Robert’s skin, will he find a way to make him open his eyes and let him see that he can go ahead and grab at life???
Will Robert push away his own happiness because he’s so used to it being just him and Garratt???
