I have loved reading this series, all three girls, (Kingsley, Holley and Saylor) are interesting characters and normally it could have big a big storm brewing as some girls with big personalities don’t always tend to get on or at least one of them tries to overshadow the others… but with these characters, Emma Hart has done an amazing job at bringing them to life and you can’t help but fall in love with their quirks. I have really enjoyed getting to know them and their stories because each one is a lot different than the last, they may all have similar situations but at least they know they can count on each other even if they do tend to wind each other up to no ends.
Saylor is one interesting character as she gives off this vibe that nothing gets to her, but deep down she is vulnerable in some cases, but I guess it’s just how we hold ourselves up and given that she’s got a hot roommate her sass seems to be coming out more and more these days.
I literally loved everything about this book, mainly the groups grandparents as they seem to be as whacky as anything, although it wouldn’t be a true Emma Hart book without at least one crazy relative. Although, there was just one thing that nagged me a little and that’s when Dylan came back from a date and he could hear that Saylor was getting herself off, and in the end he ended up getting off to the sound of her… but still that being said, Saylor knows that he has heard her as it’s been discussed before, I just would loved to have had Dylan bring it up to her as him admitting to it or better yet they get into a discussion and he just uses it as blackmail. For me I thought it would have been quite funny seeing her reaction considering it was quite hilarious but cute when we saw how drunk she got and ended up being when they did the valentine’s dinner.
Other than that, I can’t fault the book at all, I loved it and Emma’s writing is just amazing, I love picking up one of her books, they always tend to put me in such a good mood.
I’d highly suggest giving this book a try, if not the series, or better yet Emma’s work overall as you will not be disappointed.
Saylor hasn’t found the right guy, she doesn’t believe in all the little things that most girls love, if anything she’s more happy to sit at home each night, possibly with some ice-cream, but mainly a book… as in her eyes you can’t go wrong with a book, unless the characters are doing what you want them to do.
She hasn’t had much luck in dating as the guys always end up being total losers, especially the last one who had a girlfriend too… luckily for her, both the girlfriend and Saylor ended up becoming good friends that night.
Everything seems to be going the way she wants things too, but her sex life isn’t all that great and what doesn’t help her is that her hot roommate Dylan is insanely good looking, but she doesn’t want to chance anything that could risk her needing a new roommate fast… instead, she chooses to go ahead and deny any and all knowledge of her liking him.
However, Dylan is determined to push her buttons just to get a reaction from her.
Saylor has decided that she is going to move on to prove her friends wrong about her liking him and wanting to bang him, so when Dylan offers to teach her to flirt because he is honestly shocked by how bad she is at it, will she accept his offer??? What happens when they try it out, will things take an interesting turn????
