Every time I get to pick up one of Claire Marta’s books from her Ceasefire Series, I know that I’m going to be in for a whole load of twists and roller coasters. Claire has such a way with this series and each book I have just loved. No matter how many books she writes in this series I have a feeling that with each and every book I am never going to know what to expect from them, all I do know is that she is going to throw so many twists and surprises at us, that no one will have a clue what’s happening. Yet again, Claire has done another incredible job and this book was such an incredible read. I have always loved Cassandra, I thought of her to be an interesting character and I love Mavi’s relationship with her, so this book was completely different as everything Cassandra has ever known is literally taken from her. So at the minute she’s completely defenceless, I love how Claire has done this though. There’s so much going on in this book and it’ll be interesting to see how everything all plans out, I know that Claire isn’t done with this universe yet, but I also know that she’s got so many tricks up her sleeve…. I’m just excited.
I couldn’t fault this story at all, but with half of the things that happen you’ll be shocked, I seriously don’t have a clue where Claire gets half of the ideas that she writes about. I will say that if you do pick this book up, don’t go into reading it with your guards up….. Claire will manage to break them down, but it’s well worth the read.
Cassandra is able to see visions but whilst this is such a precious gift, it’s also a struggle and strain on her because she has no way of being able to control them all and sometimes ends up getting lost within the visions. However, her visions aren’t her only problem at the minute, she’s been taken from her home and she has no idea where she is or who took her. The last thing she remembers is that she was sent to a cell in her home for bringing danger to her home and risking danger to her family. Now with her being locked in a cage and one masked guy who is willing to do everything he can to break her and get her ready for her buyer. Will she be able to keep being strong enough and wait it out in the hopes that her father will find her or will the mysterious masked man end up breaking her in more ways than one?
