I loved reading Emma Hart’s The Bookworm’s Guide Series and if you’ve read this series too then you’ll know that you get to see glimpses of both Tori and Colton in them and from what you read in this book it’s clear that there is so much more that is going on behind the scenes.
From the first impression I got from Tori back in the other books I honestly thought that she had everything composed perfectly, didn’t let anything bother her and it honestly seemed like she had everything all together. Yet, when I got to know her in this book, I could see all the little things that you couldn’t in the previous books and it was honestly impressive getting to know her on a more personal level. I love how Emma always manages to give you both perspectives from her lead characters because I find it fascinating to see things from both of their minds/ sides.
You get the feel that both Colton and Tori just honestly can’t stand each other, but that if they go ahead and just screw just once then maybe everything would shift between them… well, that’s what all of their friends think. Yet, this book opens up a lot that honestly you don’t see coming, but I enjoyed every second of it.
I found myself drawn into the book from the first page and I was completely swept up into the story, but what made it even more great for me was the quirkiness of Tori, I thought she was honestly incredible, plus you can’t help but love her cat.
I honestly think that Emma did a great job, and I love getting lost in her words because she creates such incredible worlds. Each time I read one of her books, her writing is just on top form and even though there’s nothing wrong with her writing in each book she just excels at improving her writing.
I loved how everything was done in this book and honestly can’t fault it, I’m just super excited to see what happens in the next book because I can’t get enough of Emma’s work.
I’d recommend that you give this book a try because it’s got everything you need, laughter, the one relative that is whacky, a zoo at the old peoples home, amazing chemistry, boy trouble and some pretty hot scenes in between the sheets.
To all of their friends Tori and Colton hate each and every time they’re around each other it’s always explosive. Yet, what none of them know is that they have their own secret and appearances aren’t always as they seem.
What seems to be one arrangement that works for the two of them, is starting to go into uncharted territory when it becomes apparent that Tori is starting to recognise that she has feelings for Colton and she is unsure of where to take things. But the one thing that she does know, is that she can’t tell him as she knows that it will just make things even more complicated for the both of them.
But Colton has a secret of his own, but with all of their friends trying to encourage them both to go online and date people, he just has no desire to even go there. Will someone catch on to what’s happening between the both of them?? Will either of them fess up to their feelings??? Or will they both cave and go ahead and try online dating???
