I’m loving this series with each book that gets released, I honestly love how each book is so gripping, but it shows that Kendall Ryan is clearly talented and knows what to give her readers.
Each book gives you something different and whilst it’s all based around Hockey, you get to see things from each other hockey players and it’s clear that their lives aren’t as they seem from the background. Everyone’s life looks one way, but when you’re experiencing it or reading about them yourself it’s a whole other ballgame. It’s how we choose to expose ourselves is how we allow others to see what really happens.
From the other books we’ve seen that Saint is a party boy, he’ll happily make bets with his teammates, as you’ll have seen in Alex’s story. However, this book there’s so much more to him and it’s so interesting getting to experience it from his side. From the previous books you can’t tell that the team captain has an issue with Saint, but this time it’s so clear that there’s more to it and that it’s a pretty harsh relationship.
I actually think there’s more to him than anyone realises, but still with how young he is, it’s clear that he does need to clean up his act a bit, but still he wants to be able to enjoy life.
I thought that this story was well thought out and it was interesting seeing how Saint fitted so well in Kinley’s life, although there is an obstacle.
I thought Kinley was a great character, she didn’t exactly have her life together, but was doing what she could on her own, so seeing her accept the help offered to her was interesting to see how she willing put her pride to the side for it.
Overall, I thought that Kendall did a great job, but I’m just said that this is meant to be the last book, but it really was worth the read. And I’m just super excited to see what else Kendall has planned as her books are just that addicting. I can’t fault the story as I do think that both Saint and Kinley were perfect for each other.
Saint is the life of the party, the one that will go and try anything once, but as always it has consequences… With making the headlines yet again for reckless behaviour, he’s now to stay low for the off season so that he doesn’t make the team look bad…
Kinley is a sweet girl, hasn’t exactly gotten her life together, but now that she’s expecting a baby, she knows that she needs to change up her life. With moving over to where her brother lives, she is now pretty lonely, but with being pregnant it makes life a little awkward for her considering she can’t drink or do much. When she ends up meeting Saint, she can’t believe her luck when he offers to help her out, but whilst this kind-hearted man is doing whatever he can for her, she can’t help but feel a connection to him.
Will meeting Kinley be the wake up call that he needs or will he end up not only ruining his career, but taking down an innocent person too???
