After reading this book, I can honestly say that I’m so happy I took a chance on this series, I am just completely gripped to this series. I have no idea what Samantha Silver has done, but this series is just gripping. I find myself wanting more and more and baring in mind there’s only two books in this series so far. I loved how this time you got to see Eliza and Detective Ross interact a lot more, I thought it was clear that they both had chemistry and I found it sweet how caring he was being when it came to making sure that she was okay and I loved that they got to interact more. I also found that Eliza seemed to be growing as a character and she didn’t seem to be as naive as she was when she first got there. Don’t get me wrong I did love Eliza back in the first book, but she did seem a little lost too, I get that she had just had her world turned upside down, but still she did seem like a lost sheep. But this book she was growing so much more and I loved that about her.
I thought the plot was perfect and couldn’t find anything to fault, I do think that Samantha has done a great job with this book. I’m actually gutted that I’ve got to wait a few months for the next book in this series as honestly I’m hooked and just want to keep reading. I would highly recommend that you give this series a try as you just end up becoming hooked once you start.
It’s been six weeks since Eliza first moved to be with her new family and things seem to be going well. Things have calmed down enough so that people have stopped thinking that she’s a murderer, but all in all she’s loving life and loves that she doesn’t have to be alone anymore. Her one cusion has decided that it would be a great idea to get her to join in on her yoga classes and after attending the first one, Eliza is sure that the world is dertemined to hurt all of her muscles…. It’s safe to say that Yoga and her don’t get along. But her cusion isn’t letting her give up. On the drive back home, they end up narrowly hitting someone, and whilst it doesn’t look to bad to begin with, it turns out that someone had tried to kill her as she was bleeding. Will Eliza and her cousins stay out of the investigation or do things take a turn when an attempt at Eliza’s life when she’s working happens???
